Michael Owen, a former Real Madrid forward has predicted this weekend’s English Premier League matchday 32 fixtures.

Everton will host Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park on Friday night, while Arsenal will face Fulham on Sunday afternoon at Emirates Stadium.

Leeds United will host Liverpool on Monday night, while Manchester United will tackle Burnley at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.

Providing his predictions, Owen told BetVictor: “Spurs travel to Goodison Park after enduring another 90 minutes of torment in their 3-1 home defeat to Manchester United. This means Spurs have won only one of their last five matches, and away from home, the form book doesn’t read much better. They’ve won just three of their last ten on the road, so you’ve got to think that another defeat here could mean trouble for Jose Mourinho.

“Everton themselves are in the middle of a poor run. Injuries have played their part, but the fact of the matter is that the Toffees are winless in their last four in the Premier League.

“You get the feeling that something has to give. Admittedly, Everton have an inconsistent record on home soil, however, the problems at Tottenham seem to be more mental than anything else, and that’s difficult to overcome in the short-term.

“I think this will be tight, but I reckon Everton will just shade It. Everton 2, Tottenham 1.”

Commenting on the Arsenal vs Fulham game, Owen said, “After making such a fight of it since the turn of the year, it’s looking more and more likely that Fulham will be playing Championship football next season.

“The Cottagers’ have lost their last four Premier League matches, and they take on an Arsenal side that, despite their frailties, still have the quality to brush aside teams at the bottom end of the table.

“With that in mind, I predict another afternoon to forget for the visitors. It’s 2-0 to the Gunners for me.”

Speaking on the Manchester United vs Burnley match, Owen said, “Despite going a goal down, Manchester United produced another memorable victory on the road last weekend, defeating Spurs 2-0.

“It was a typical United performance, and although I still think there is room for improvement at Old Trafford, the visit of Burnley should present itself as another opportunity to gain maximum points.

“The Clarets simply aren’t scoring enough goals, and if it wasn’t for the poor form of those in and around them, their concerns of falling out of the Premier League would be a real possibility.

“As I mentioned, United have been much better on the road, but on this occasion, I think they’ll come away with all three points. Manchester United 2, Burnley 0.”

On the Leeds United vs Liverpool fixture, Owen said, “Matchday one seems long ago now, however, it sure did set the tone for Leeds’ season when they went down fighting in a 4-3 win for Liverpool.

“Fresh from victory at the Etihad, belief will be sky-high within the Elland Road ranks. One positive for them is that Liverpool have played midweek in Europe, as that definitely worked in their favour in their victory at City.

“That said, there has been a bit of an improvement in Liverpool’s recent performances, especially on the road domestically.

“With that in mind, I’m siding with the Reds’ to carve out a narrow victory. Leeds United 1, Liverpool 2.”
