Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho, on Saturday stormed the Nelson Mandela Freedom Park, Osogbo, the Osun State capital, to demand Oduduwa Republic.

Igboho while speaking at the rally called for the release of operatives of the Oodua Peoples Congress who were detained for arresting notorious Fulani herder, Iskilu Wakili, in the Ibarapa area of Oyo State.

Security agencies were present at the venue of the rally, including operatives of the Amotekun corps.

Igboho in his statement said there will be no election in Yoruba land in 2023.

He added that the Yoruba nation must leave now as it is no more a slave to the northerners.

The activist who called for unity among Yorubas advised the aggrieved to come together.

Adeyemo said Gboyega Oyetola allowed the Yoruba nation agitators to hold the rally in Osun and provided them with security.
