
The United kingdom has been the first nation on earth that approves the COVID-19 vaccine.
As from next week, the UK has just approved the Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus jab for general use.
The Department of Health’s Regulatory Agency for Medicines and Healthcare Products said the vaccine provides up to 95 percent protection against the pandemic.
Britain has ordered 40 million doses for those in the first priority line, immunisations will begin within days.
Matt Hancock, Secretary of Health, expressed enthusiasm about the approval.
“Help is on its way. The NHS stands ready to start vaccinating early next week”, Hancock tweeted.
